• MadWorld Contest Entry

MadWorld's been such a great game to me for the past week.
The following video is something I made for the MadWorld Contest at PlatinumGames official US website (http://www.platinumgames.com).

I made this using the Ugomemo (Moving Memo Pad) DSiWare on the Nintendo DSi.
It's definitely one killer app that's sure to be a hit once it hits Europe and America as it already is in Japan. And it's free!

Also, here's a photo of me posing with the MadWorld video game outside Macy's parking lot at Pheasant Lane Mall.

• Twice In A Blue Moon

My pre-order for Renegade Kid's new FPS game on the DS, Moon, has finally arrived in the mail along with the bonus cartridge cover and extending stylus. I've been waiting for the game since the first glimpse of it once it was posted on GoNintendo. I've been following the official website, and Renegade Kid vlogs throughout the rest of 2008 until I found out that Moon delayed until January. Now it's here and I got the game.

Here's a picture I took of myself and the game using my imported Nintendo DSi:
HNI_0021

and here is a picture of me with Dementium: The Ward which I also bought at launch (Halloween 2007) with Manhunt 2 for Wii:
HNI_0025

Moon is yet another rock solid DS title from Renegade Kid.
Like Dementium, the game fiddles around with atmosphere.
I’m digging every moment of it on my DSi.

I demand they bring Dementium and Moon sequels to Wii.
I wish Renegade Kid team the best, and here's looking forward to seeing more quality titles from them in the future.

I've got a couple music videos from Wii Music up on YouTube.
The first one was sent by underground rap artist, Kenji Astro, previously known as RSunis, and this is his version of Earth Wind & Fire's "September":

• Nintendo DSi Launch

I hope you guys realize that DSi is only in Japan until late next year right?
You'll have all the time to play Guitar Hero On Tour/Decades, Tony Hawk's Motion, and any other Slot 2-based games.
But even then, they'll still be putting the DS Lite on the shelves next to the DSi as long as there's still demand for it next year.

Anyway, people are waiting in line for one in Japan right now!

So far, they said they've been testing all types of SD cards.
Current flash cards of all kinds no longer work.
There's also a firmware update that you can get right on the spot.

Also! They've just announced a brand new Art Style series for DSi.
You know how much I love Art Style ~<3

Downloadable Content:

We’re proud to announce that the first of the Downloadable Content packs for Mega Man 9 will be available this week. Here’s the run down on what’s coming out.
Endless Attack (300pts) – Test your skills on a stage without end. Try to break the record for getting the farthest. Results will be displayed in the Rankings page. Not compatible with other Challenges.
Proto Man Mode (200pts) - Play the game as Proto Man. Some of Proto Man’s abilities may differ from Mega Man’s. Proto Man has the Charge Shot ability, Power Slide ability, and a shield that he can utilize to deflect bullets at enemies. However, Proto Man also takes double damage and has double bounce back when he is hit.
There is no story for Proto Man and he is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges.
Both DLC packs are available now on WiiWare Channel today (October 6th, 2008) with XBLA following on October 7th, and PSN releasing October 9th.

Choose from 10 different modes of play and six 18-hole courses in a variety of environments for a golfing experience with endless replay value. Add in fun, colorful graphics with a Mario touch (a Boo indicates wind direction), intuitive controls, incredibly deep game play and multiplayer support (taunt your opponents), and you have a game anyone will enjoy—even if you’ve never played a round of golf. He sets in motion strange events that lead to the resurrection of Zeon, the Devil King. Granseal’s king falls sick, the princess is kidnapped, and a door to Arc Valley, the Devil King’s home, is opened. The young swordsman, Bowie, realizing the grave danger Granseal faces, must lead the Shining Force to find the Holy Sword and the stolen jewels, and protect Granseal against the invading armies of Zeon.

• My Nintendo DSi

Here's something I made right before they officially revealed the new model:

Image
click for specs

I wanted to surprise people but I only had a couple of hours yesterday before the conference started.
Tell ya what, I was pretty darn close!
Yet, the official model does meet a lot of expectations.
I'm still not too keen on the new path that this DSi is going though.
But now I realized the official model does make sense:
2 LCD screens call for 2 cameras..

I may have to re-edit my design even further to fit my liking.
