Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation 2. Gameplay World at War is based on the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine and will feature a more mature theme than previous installments in the series. Swimming will be introduced to the series. While in water, the player cannot sprint and will only move at half speed. Flamethrowers, introduced in Call of Duty: United Offensive, will appear alongside flammable environments. Vehicles (i.e. Tanks) will also be reintroduced in this edition of Call of Duty. The game will be more open-ended than previous games in the series, as there will be multiple ways to complete objectives.
Features World at War will have cooperative gameplay with up to two players via split screen on consoles, or four players online, for the first time in the franchise. In addition, the Wii version will also feature splitscreen multiplayer. All console versions of the game will use a perk system similar to that in Call of Duty 4. Activision has also confirmed that vehicles will be usable in multiplayer. Six multiplayer modes have been announced including team deathmatch and capture the flag, among others.
A special online co-op mode involving Nazi zombies is unlocked once the player completes the single player campaign. In it, up to four players must attempt to defend themselves from limitless waves of undead Nazi soldiers. With each kill and successful hit, players earn points that can be used to purchase weapons and fortifications to further defend themselves. That sounds a lot like Left 4 Dead. \:D/
New Theaters of Operation: Players fight as U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers facing enemies that employ lethal new tactics and know no fear, or no mercy. Epic conflicts are fought on multiple fronts, playing through the climactic battles of WWII in the grittiest, most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date.
Wii Zapper Support: Call of Duty: World at War fully supports Nintendo's innovative and unique Zapper controller through a customized game setting that allows the entire game, including multi-player, to be played with the Zapper. This customized setting adds a new way to play by incorporating unique gestures and button layouts that add to the Call of Duty experience.
Squadmate Mode: This single-screen cooperative mode lets players team up to play alongside friends and family. At any moment, a second Wii Remote can be activated, giving the second player their own aiming crosshair to provide cover and added firepower while fighting alongside their Squadmate.
Combat-Look: Includes “Combat-Look” technology – as the player runs through the game's diverse environments and topographies, the vertical line of sight discreetly adapts to keep players focused on the battlefield without having to radically adjust for uphill/downhill grade variations in the terrain. This system still allows complete freedom and mobility for targeting and results in a smoother and more playable Wii experience than ever before.
With all the building hype, let's have a thread about the new James Bond 007 game, Quantum of Solace. I've played the short PC Demo, and it's definitely a solid James Bond title with some genre-defining features, most notably, the cover system which makes you feel more like a 00 Agent.

Quantum of Solace is the first James Bond game this generation, and will be based on the films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. The game is powered by the Call of Duty 4 engine, and is developed by Beenox who also worked the PC version. Most of the game play will be in a first-person fashion with the ability to switch to a third-person view during cover system or quick time events.
The Wii version of the game will have four players split-screen local multiplayer, exclusive to the system, in addition to the online multiplayer. With this version, you will be able to create your own character. Players may choose to use the unique Wii Remote and Nunchuk control scheme to seamlessly target and engage their enemies or they can leverage the Wii Zapper to truly step into the shoes of James Bond.

Hard Mode – Dubbed Hero Mode in Japan, this mode enables you to play the entire game on an increased difficulty level with alternate enemy distribution and spawning points. Hard Mode is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges Modes.
Expert Mode – Dubbed Super Hero Mode Japan, this mode represents the apex of Mega Man 9 difficulty settings and is not for the novice Mega Man 9 player. This mode triples the level of difficulty from the default Mega Man 9 game. Expert Mode is not compatible with Rankings or Challenges Modes.
Special Time Attack Stage – This DLC gives you an additional stage for Time Attack Mode, complete with an all new level and Robot Master Boss, “Fake Man.” Similar in difficulty to the Willy Stages, players will have a fun time tackling this time sensitive competitive stage. Special Time Attack Stage is not compatible with Challenge Mode.
All three DLC packs are available now on WiiWare Channel with XBLA following on October 21st, and PSN releasing October 23th.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes (タツノコ VS. CAPCOM CROSS GENERATION OF HEROES) is an upcoming crossover fighting game featuring characters from the Japanese animation studio Tatsunoko Production and video game company Capcom. Capcom has stated that the game will "probably not" be released outside of Japan due to licensing issues.

It introduced characters such as Gatchaman, Casshern, Tekkaman from Tatsunoko studio, along with of course Ryu, Chun Li, Batsu, Morrigan from Capcom.
Japanese gamers are going buck-wild over Tatsunoko vs. Capcom [Wii]. Most presumably, It deserves as much attention as Super Smash Bros. Brawl [Wii]. This is yet another one of those crazy hardcore 2D fighting games that will not be available anywhere else but the Japanese arcades and Japanese Wii system. The Wii version features new elements, including the option for simplified Wiimote-based controls (also supports full controls via the Classic Controller), special mini-games (including four-player bonus modes), and an original character, Hakushon Daimaou the genie, as a Wii exclusive.
I admire Capcom and Nintendo. They've been making the best games for all these years and haven't lost a single touch. With the success of their new games, I become accustomed to playing and enjoying them to the fullest.
Even though Wario Land: Shake It! got overshadowed by Mega Man 9, I support both equally as the returning age of old school 2D games. Wario Land took 2D to a new level similar to what Super Paper Mario did. Mega Man 9 took it much further by going 8-bit. This game has set a new landmark and paving the way for other classic franchises to make their comeback return in retro style. I'm talking games like Castlevania, Sonic The Hedgehog, Contra, Bionic Commando, etc. It's not necessary that these games are to go 8-bit/16-bit but to go to a form where they once shined their brightest. And only Mega Man can do it best. In fact, it's ground-breaking for its time - in the world of High Definition 3D graphics.
Mega Man 9 is built for nothing short of perfection. And to have played this on a Nintendo system on Day 1 release, everything just felt so right for once.
And because of that, I've become as much of a fan as anyone else. Here are some photos of some things I bought in hype of the game.

As you might see, I too am a fan of everything 8-Bit and its underground music scene/culture. My favorite track from the soundtrack is the Magma Man Stage theme, "Magma Burning".
At last, here's a piece of art work I made prior to the release of Mega Man 9 [WiiWare] and Wario Land: Shake It! [Wii]. It's a concept I've been thinking of for a few months. A joint-project between two of the best game companies, Capcom and Nintendo. I present to you, Mega Man x Wario wallpaper.

Dead Space is a 2008 comic book prequel to the video game of the same name. It is published by Image Comics and is written by Antony Johnston (who also wrote the game's dialogue), with art by Ben Templesmith. An animated version of it (really just the comic's images with the text replaced by a voice cast) was available to download via Xbox Live, PSN and various game review sites such as Gametrailers.com in summer 2008.

Dead Space is still on my wish list along with Silent Hill: Homecoming. I'm looking forward to both of these for PC soon.
Art Style: CUBELLO (Nintendo, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 600 Wii Points): Art Style: CUBELLO mixes the strategy and feel of a traditional puzzle game with the precision and reflexes required in a shooter. As each stage begins, various colored cubes form into one large object called a Cubello, which floats and rotates as you play. Based on the successful 2004 freeware indie video game for PC under the same name, Cave Story (Japanese title, Doukutsu Monogatari) will be making its appearance in new form as a WiiWare title in early 2009. According to 1UP it has been said to be "so massive that it rivals modern GBA Castlevania and Metroid games in terms of scope and play time." The WiiWare version will be developed by Nicalis with producer Tyrone Rodriguez. It will have "new, exclusive content and features" including widescreen and 480p display options, and new character designs by the original artist, Daisuke Amaya (also known as art-name, Pixel). The game will feature new graphics and music created for the game, but players will be able to switch them for the original music and visuals.
Excerpt: The once-carefree world is in danger of disaster at the hands of a new threat. The Mimigas' (rabbit-like creatures) only hope is in the hands of a quiet, amnesiac boy who can't remember his own name. Players take control of the main character and learn the origins of the island's power.
